Call for Submissions: Poems and Texts on Poetry for the International Ecumenical Journal “Hymn of Love”

The journal Hymn of Love was launched in collaboration with Hagiopolis, an international institute for Christian culture and art, with the aim of promoting poetry inspired by Christian values. The journal will be published annually.

TERMS OF THE CALL:

1. Eligibility:
    The call is open to all poets and writers who create poetry or theoretical works about poetry inspired by Christian values.
        
    Participation is open to all adults, regardless of the language in which they write.

    Submissions must be the original work of the author submitting them. The editorial team will not be held responsible in case of copyright infringement.

Submissions must be proofread and written using the Latin alphabet.

2. Translations:
    If poems or texts are not written in English, a translation can be provided by the author or will be arranged with the author’s consent. Both versions will be published in the journal.

3. Submission Requirements:
    • Up to five poems or one theoretical text related to Christian-inspired poetry may be submitted.
    • Poems must not exceed fifty lines. Theoretical texts must not exceed 3,000 words.
    • Submissions should be sent in an open (Word) document format.
    • The body of the email or the document must include the following:
    1. A short biography (up to 500 characters, including spaces).
    2. Personal details: Full name, country, address, phone number, email address, and a link to your social media profile (if available).

4. Originality:
    Poems and texts must not have been previously published in a book, anthology, or journal.
        Works published on social media or online are eligible for submission.

5. Selection Process:
    The editorial team will select the poems and texts to be included in the journal. The team reserves the right to publish multiple works by the same author or to exclude submissions entirely.

6. Notification:
     Authors whose works are selected for publication will be notified in due time.

7. Submission Deadline:
    The deadline for submissions is March 31.

9. Privacy:
    The editorial team guarantees that your personal data will be used solely for the purposes of this call and publication.

10. Publication:
    The journal will be published on the Lulu platform and will be available in both print and PDF formats.
